Council of Great City Schools Files Amicus Brief

CFE received notable support in its appeal on February 5, 2003 with the filing of the Council of Great City Schools' amicus brief. The Council is a coalition of nearly 60 of the nation's largest urban public school systems, including New York City, Buffalo, and Rochester in New York State, that works to promote a better understanding of the issues and best practices in urban education. Its brief will provide the Court of Appeals with a national perspective on urban education issues and specific examples of successful reform efforts in urban school districts.
